Damage Prevention Committee

TENNESSEE DAMAGE PREVENTION COMMITTEE JOINS THE COMMON GROUND ALLIANCE

The Tennessee Damage Prevention Committee, a committee authorized by the Tennessee One-Call System Board of Directors, has been granted the status of Regional Partner by the Common Ground Alliance.

In a brief ceremony at the TDPC meeting in Nashville on September 11, 2003, Bob Kipp (center photo), Executive Director of the CGA, presented a plaque to Bobby Garner (right photo), TDPC Chairperson, and Bill Turner (left photo), Executive Director of Tennessee One-Call System, signifying the partnership:

The Common Ground Alliance is a national, non-profit organization established by damage prevention stakeholders dedicated to ensure public safety, environmental protection and the integrity of vital underground services, by promoting effective damage prevention practices. The CGA promotes best practices identified through the United States Department of Labor Common Ground Study.

The Tennessee Damage Prevention Committee will be providing the CGA with damage data collected from our members for inclusion in CGA’s national damage database.

Member utilities, contractors and locators are encouraged to become involved with the Tennessee Damage Prevention Committee and attend our quarterly meetings. To learn about future meeting dates and locations, please call Tennessee One-Call System at (615) 367-1110 or check back to this page.

Currently, there are 71 member utilities reporting damages to Tennessee One-Call System. We would like to encourage each member utility to report their damage data which will be included in the national CGA website. This data can be viewed by clicking on the links below:
